Over 2 decades of experience in professional photography make Peter a compelling speaker for any photographic society or camera club seeking an entertaining and informative evening. Peter considers his evenings more as illustrated "informal chats" rather than lectures, preferring the audience to become involved asking questions.

With a selection of talks each lasting about 45-60 minutes you can pick any two for your evening but remember to leave lots of time at the end for questions which are always popular on these evenings!

Peter will attend with his laptop of images so it's requested the club supply a digital projector and screen.

Peter shows examples of his commercial work and talks about typical shoots. A fascinating and very different evening. Peter often only gets a very short time to capture his images whatever the weather and location. Very different from the usual lecturer with their "perfect" images chosen from many years shooting.

Very few images are printed these days without being "photoshopped" Peter runs through the basics and demonstrates how he retouches his images. Often having only a very short time to run through lots of images, nothing is too complicated. This lecture is ideal for beginners and intermediate workers who want to discover the magic of photoshop without the complications!

Tips and tricks on how to shoot people (no weapons are involved we hasten to add!). In the studio with models, on location with friends and family and of course a little retouching as well. A quick once over of how Peter creates portraits for his clients. Lots more opportunities to ask questions and find out how to get professional results without spending a fortune!

 

This is a new talk for 2010 following Peters adventures in Mallorca when he went out to photograph the 2009 Classic Car Rally on the island in which the BBC Top Gear presenters were taking part. We follow Peter shooting stock images over the week including the Classic Rally cars in stunning locations, island views and even a shoot with a model on the beach, something for everyone!
